When it comes to complexity, we have always tried to make it easy for anyone to use (from the age of 10 to 80 at least). AVG shows Action as clean on but if you experience any problems please add it to the AVG antivirus whitelist. During 11 years of Action's development, we have never released an "unsafe" version.

Even though I didn't need it, the online reviews give you a detailed explanation of how to use the program. I haven't used the software with a camera or for streaming yet but from what I've seen from online video reviews it looks very useful. I have been using it mostly for game recording and a little bit for audio. I'm running only an ancient Win7 system but performance with Action is much better than the other program I had been using. After a little bit of testing I found the settings that gave me the results for quality and performance I wanted. Not bare bones and not cluttered with a ton of features I'd never use. I think it has just the right amount of features. After seeing reviews for Action I bought it right away and I'm glad I did. After playing around with a popular free screen recorder program that was difficult to set up and didn't have great results for me, I did an online search for alternatives.
